"Getting Things Done"

When my sis was here a couple of weeks ago, we went to a consignment shop (Thanks Jen:-) to get a swing for lil Wills.  I also found this "Mei Tai" carrier for $12 (regularly$80)  It's great to wear around the house with my peanut.  My arms are free to e-mail, sew, do the dishes etc.

Here we are...getting things done!
I love the colors and it is reversable!

Willa's New Dress

So, I wasnt able to get out of the house to go to the fabric store, so I went shopping in my closet:-). I found this old tube style "belly" shirt that I should never wear again:-).  I made a head band and a onesie dress for "peanut", and I have enough material to make one more dress.

One of "The Three Little Birds"

I made this onsie for my good friend Jaeleen's new little lovey, Julianna.  Can't wait to meet her!!! She and Willa are exactly 5 weeks apart! Jae called me at 1 am (from home ) with a question about contractions and had Jules at 2:45 am (at the hospital, luckily)!!!!
It's like one I made for Willa already, but I added more. I used scraps from the maternity jeans, and buttons from my "button collection" (Casey makes fun of me for that too:-).
Luv u Case!!!

Daddy and his "girls"

Here is a pic of Mike and his three little ladies....Tehya Grace, Will Jules, and Sookie Sue!

Cloth Dipes!

As some of you may know, I am using cloth diapers for "Peanut".  Again, thanks to my sis for teaching me the ropes.  It's going great! I do one load of cloth dipes about every 2 days.  We are still using some disposables dipes and all disposable wipes (can't get used to the cloth wipes yet-runny poo).

Here's a picture of the dipes and two wet bags I use.  I sewed straps on the wet bags so they could be tied to the changing tables.  I have 18 diaps and 36 inserts, and it's plenty.

Go Green!!!!

My New Hobby:-) Sewing!!!

So, thanks to my wonderful sis, I have started using my sewing machine after having it for about 5 years. (Casey can stop making fun of me now:-) Here are a few of the things I've made.

These are dresses I made out of my old shirts and onesies. Thanks to Mike for donating some of his old shirts too! :-)
This is a bag made out of an old pair of maternity jeans, and my first attempt at a taggie blanket.

Thanks Jes for your tutorials:-).  Luv U!

Wedding Celebration Date

So, we are sending out save the dates soon, but I just wanted to let you all know that we scheduled the party for the beginning of my spring break. So, when you are booking your flights:-) try to stay through the week of the 25th so we can chill at the beach together.  Make it a little vacation for you and your family.  I am also trying to set up a babysitting service for the night of our party at the hotel. So, bring the whole family:-).

First Post

Hello All,
So I have started this blog (with the help of my twin sis) to help keep our friends and family posted about our upcoming wedding celebration; which will be held in Clearwater, Florida on April 23rd.  But since I am still in the process of planning everything, I'll start my first blog with the story of "Mike and I" :-)

It all started in 2007 at the Blue Martini (which will b one of our drink specials at our wedding:-) Cheesy enough yet? Anyway, Casey and I had just moved to Florida, so we were looking for part-time bartending jobs...Mike was at the bar with an Ohio State hat on....and so it began.  I had only lived in Florida for 3 weeks!!!  After being together for 2 years we decided to move in together in July of '09 and in November we were very excited to find out we were going to have a baby!!! We bought a house in April, got married  July 2nd (at the courthouse) and welcome baby Willa Jules Elizabeth in July!!! So in order to follow along with our untraditional ways, we will be having a reception (or something like that) in April 2011 to celebrate with our friends and family.  We hope you can all make it, but with many of our friends and family being from Ohio, we understand if you can't make it.  Keep in touch via this blog:-).

xoxo, Neely
